Perch fishing can begin as early as mid-July and runs through October. This is a schooling, aggressively feeding fish. Many are caught two at a time (double-header). Once we catch our limit there is typically time to fish for other species, such as walleye or smallmouth bass.
Perch sizes usually range from 8" to 12" length. This is the most delicious eating fish of Lake Erie. Perch fishing is a great way to get kids hooked on fishing as it can be fast and easy.
